Sarasota City Commission agenda previews to be televised today

Sarasota, FL - Televised previews of City Commission agendas as well as a televised recap of actions taken by the City Commission will air beginning today, provided by the Office of the City Auditor and Clerk.

According to the city's website, the ‘Commission Report’ will be televised approximately five minutes prior to the start of the 2:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. sessions on Access Sarasota, the government access channel.

The ‘Wrap Up Report’ will be televised the following day and will be posted on the City’s homepage www.sarasotagov.com “This will be an added service we will be providing for the public,” said City Auditor and Clerk Pamela Nadalini.

The reports are intended to be brief and educational. “The goal is to provide viewers with an understanding of what issues are expected to be discussed during the upcoming City Commission meeting,” said Nadalini.

“The recap will offer a concise review of actions taken by the City Commission. Currently, to learn about Commission actions, the public has to watch the meeting, either live or on the City’s website, learn about it from someone who attended the meeting or possibly read about it in the newspaper.”

Access Sarasota is located on Comcast Cable channel 19 and Verizon Fios channels 32 and 34. For a weekly programming schedule visit www.sarasotagov.com
