Man loses part of leg in jet ski accident | News
Englewood, Florida -- A 54-year-old man lost part of his leg on Sunday after his jet ski collided with a motorboat.
The accident happened off the coast of Englewood.
The impact reportedly severed part of the man's leg below the knee, and caused the rider and four boaters to fall into the water.
A nearby sailboat was able to pull the people out of the water.
Marine units and emergency responders met the sailboat at Stump Pass and took the 54-year-old to the hospital.
