Teen arrested for high school bomb threat | News
North Port, Florida -- A teenager was arrested for making a bomb threat against North Port High School earlier this week.
Police say 19-year-old Kyle McMahan made several threats that were posted anonymously on Facebook on Monday. Explosive-detection dogs conducted a sweep of the school, but found nothing suspicious.
After an investigation, North Port Police charged McMahan with false report of bomb or explosive device (a felony) and disrupting school function (a misdemeanor).
McMahan was taken to Sarasota County Jail with no bond.
