Students act in Human Wax Museum

Sarasota, Florida -- The cafeteria at Gocio Elementary School will be transformed into a Human Wax Museum from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 25.

Fifth-grade students will stand in a frozen-statue pose, dressed as the characters they studied for their class biography projects.

When visitors to the museum drop change into bowls, the student "statues" will come alive and share biographical information about their characters.

Proceeds from the project will be donated to All Faiths Food Bank.

Jessica Gardner, a fifth-grade teacher at Gocio said, "The Human Wax Museum gives students the chance to participate in an event that not only gives back to their community, but also gives them a creative way to showcase what they've learned about the people who've made a mark on history."

Gocio Elementary School is located at 3450 Gocio Road in Sarasota.
