Town to replace water meters

Longboat Key, Florida - Residents and business owners in the Town of Longboat Key can expect to have their water meters replaced. The town is replacing all meters, because they become less accurate as they age. The new meters will improve the efficiency of meter reading and water billing.

UMS has been hired by the Town to replace the meters. Work will begin in August and a company representative will contact you in person before your meter is replaced. You can expect your water service to be interrupted for 15 to 30 minutes. There is no charge to residents.

The replacement project is expected to take six months to complete. For more information click here.
