Venice, FL-- A huge plot of land owned by the Venice Municipal Airport could be home to a business park according to some city leaders.

Venice's City Council is set to discuss converting 140 acres into a business park possibly including everything from a hotel to a marina. Officials believe the development could bring a welcome jolt to the local economy.

However, some neighbors of the airport already shot down the plan once before. Council members could meet a great deal of opposition from residents who don't want any development on the vacant land.
