 Sarasota, Florida -- Art Center Sarasota launched its season this week with "CUBEMUSIC," a site-specific installation created by Craig Colorusso, who explores the intersection of sound, light, and space in his sculpture.

Sarasota, Florida -- If you're looking for unique holiday gifts, St. Armands Circle could be a good bet this weekend. Some 175 artists and craftsman will be displaying their works.

The art festival features paintings, ceramics, jewelry and sculpture and is considered one of the best in the country.

The festival runs from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

Venice, Florida -- Venice Theatre is seeking four strong singers with a flair for harmony and comedy to perform in the upcoming Cabaret, The Marvelous Wonderettes.  The actors will be playing characters that are in their late teens in Act I and late 20s in Act II.

"Incredible Journey" Art Center Sarasota Announces new season

Sarasota, Florida -- Art Center Sarasota’s 2013-2014 exhibition season, entitled “Incredible Journey,” runs November 7, 2013, through September 30, 2014. It comprises seven exhibition cycles, each encompassing up to four exhibits. According to Lisa Berger, the center's director, the season “celebrates engaging, relevant art by contemporary artists from around the region and the world.” She anticipates that these dynamic exhibitions will draw more than 25,000 visitors throughout the year.
